Therapeutic Yoga for Healthcare and Behavioral Health Professionals

Whole Health Yoga collaborates with healthcare professionals interested in integrating therapeutic yoga as a complementary support for their patients.

Watch the short video below to learn how an evidence-informed therapeutic yoga approach can complement traditional care.

Integrating Therapeutic Yoga Into Patient Care

Therapeutic yoga is increasingly used as a complementary practice within healthcare and behavioral health settings to support physical, emotional, and nervous system well-being.

Whole Health Yoga provides individualized and small-group therapeutic yoga sessions that can work alongside conventional medical care. These practices are informed by traditional yoga methods and supported by contemporary research on stress regulation, chronic pain management, and nervous system health.

Healthcare professionals often refer patients navigating:

  • anxiety and chronic stress

  • menopause and hormonal transitions

  • chronic pain and fatigue

  • sleep disruption

  • significant life transitions

Wendy Cook's signature

With decades of global teaching experience and a deep commitment to therapeutic yoga, I have dedicated my work to helping others heal through movement, breath, and an evidence-informed approach to practice. After earning a Master’s degree from the Clinton School of Public Service at the age of 55, I set out to bridge the gap between modern medicine and the ancient wisdom of yoga.

Through Whole Health Yoga, I mentor service-oriented yoga teachers and therapists while also offering individualized online therapeutic yoga sessions and guiding retreats designed to support personal practice, rest, and renewal through a therapeutic approach to yoga.
