Developing Trauma-Informed Yoga Teachers Rooted in Service
This program integrates ancient yogic teachings with modern research and therapeutic understanding to prepare teachers who can support the health and well-being of diverse communities. Students learn to adapt yoga practices with sensitivity to physical needs, emotional experiences, trauma, and individual life circumstances.
Led by an experienced teacher trainer with more than two decades of teaching, over a decade facilitating yoga teacher trainings, and five years of direct experience as a trauma-informed yoga teacher in behavioral health settings, the program offers steady mentorship and professional guidance beyond graduation.
Who Is The Yoga Teacher Training For
This training welcomes individuals who feel called to explore yoga more deeply and to share its benefits with others. Participants come from many backgrounds and stages of life, including those seeking a meaningful career transition, professionals interested in integrating yoga into therapeutic or health-related work, and dedicated practitioners who want to understand the practice beyond the posture.
Students in this program are typically curious, reflective, and interested in learning how yoga can support the physical, emotional, and nervous system health of diverse populations through a trauma-informed lens. No prior teaching experience is required—only a sincere interest in study, practice, and service.

Founder and Lead Teacher Trainer
With decades of global teaching experience and a deep commitment to therapeutic, trauma-informed yoga, I have dedicated my work to supporting others through movement, breath, and an evidence-informed approach to practice. After earning a Master’s degree from the Clinton School of Public Service at the age of 55, I set out to bridge the gap between modern medicine and the ancient wisdom of yoga.
Through Whole Health Yoga, I mentor service-oriented yoga teachers and therapists while offering individualized online sessions and guiding retreats that support personal practice, rest, and renewal through an integrated approach to yoga.
